About William Campbell
Dr. Campbell graduated from Emory University and the Medical College of Georgia. He was trained in Neurology at the Letterman Army Medical Center and the University of California San Francisco, followed by a Neuromuscular Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.
He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuromuscular Disease, and by the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He was on the faculty at the Medical College of Virginia for 17 years. He was then on staff at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and was Chairman of Neurology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He is a Professor Emeritus at USUHS and a retired US Army Colonel. Dr. Campbell has published extensively, including over 100 medical articles and book chapters, and has written seven Neurology textbooks.
His special interest and expertise is in Neuromuscular disease, including ALS, myasthenia gravis, muscle disorders and peripheral nerve disease.
